Mamaw and Papa Ober and Uncle Marty came to visit us over the long 4th of July weekend.
We visited some Cincinnati friends at Lake Norman, NC on the 4th for some lake swimming and good barbecue.

Fun time at our local pool. As it rained almost every day that week, we found one day for just a few hours that was dry!
Riverbanks Zoo
The closest zoo to us is in Columbia, SC (about an hour away), so we packed up and headed out last Sunday to visit the animals. And for all those wondering, the lions and tigers did NOT have a twang to their roars! Bummer.
