Thanksgiving

Lots of cousin love!

Isabella 3, Max 4, Mark 7, Jackson 19 months, Tucker 5, Teddy 5 months, Violet 2

Taking a peek at Teddy from above.

T chillin' out. He seemed to love this cozy bed. He slept better in it than at home!

Boys and their crewcuts.

The little ladies of the next generation keeping themselves entertained on Memaw's iPad.

In another year, I'm sure Teddy and Jackson will be running circles around everyone.

Veteran's Day and Museum

On Saturday, we decided at the last minute to go to the Veteran's Day parade in downtown Milwaukee. Luckily, the weather was perfect for sitting and watching the bands, troops and vets march past us.

While we were out and about, we stopped by the Public Museum after the parade. Max could have spent all day waiting for a butterfly to land on him.

Violet wasn't as excited about flying bugs landing on her. I didn't blame her!

Rolling

Teddy quickly figured out that rolling around is way more fun than laying still.

His drool has become increasingly sloppier!

After searching high and low, I finally found Sophie the Giraffe. When he gets a good grip, she doesn't stand a chance!

Goodbye Halloween

Very quickly, the kids (with lots of help from Mom and Dad) polished off all the good candy from Halloween. So rather than hear Max and Violet beg for a treat morning, noon and night, we used the rest in an easy craft. I did catch them taking little pieces off it as it dried, but we at least got rid of most of it!

We made a sticky spiderweb to hang the thousands of tiny spiders and bats we had from decorations around the house and our trick-or-treat bags. Then packed them up in storage for next year.

Amazing how much fun tape can be!

Dentist

If my dentist visits as a child included treasure baskets filled with toys, cool new toothbrushes to take home and jokes told by my dentist, I'm sure I wouldn't have as much hatred or anxiety about them as I still do to this day! I guess it also doesn't hurt that our current dentist happens to be Max's best buddy Riley's dad, Dr. J!

Compared to the last visit, Max was an excellent patient! All 20 teeth and clean bill of health.

Even Violet sat for Dr. J and had her teeth counted. Our only homework - no more pacifiers! Easier said than done, but we're working on it.
