Gym Class

Here are some pictures from Max's gym class. It's the first class he's taken where parents are not allowed!

That's Max in green. This is usually how he starts off class - hanging by himself for a few minutes.

And then he spots the toys!

God bless the two teachers who play with 10 two-year olds for an hour!

Summer Where Are You?

We're beginning to think Wisconsin doesn't have a spring/summer season!

Weekend Trip

Max showing the birthday boy, JJ, how to play with his own toy.

Olivia Elsener trying to eat a little dinner in the middle of the chaos.

JJ Nichols, the adorable one year old!

Our attempt at a group shot.

Watching the BU game from our hotel in Indy.

Papa and Memauw drove up to Indy to visit with us for a few hours and cheer on the Bulldogs.

It was a great (and tiring) weekend visiting friends and family.

Peas

Just like her mother, Violet is not a fan of peas.

Finished Bathroom

Through blood, sweat and maybe some of Violet's tears from being woken up during construction - we (i.e. Nick and his Dad) completed the kid's bathroom. Here are the before and after pics.

New tub and shower, fresh paint, updated hardware and fixtures and two kids who enjoy their bath time together.

First Sleepover

Max and Violet welcomed their friends, Leah, Kyle and Ethan Plahm for a sleepover Saturday. The kids successfully made a disaster of the basement in less than 20 minutes and didn't stop playing until the sun went down.
Max and Leah snuggling up during a movie. We made sure to keep their hands on the sippy cups!

The happy fans after a Butler win.

The boys being boys.
Families who dress together, stay together.

His Invention

He invented something - a pillow(s) blanket. That's really what he calls it. I myself have been under one of his pillow blankets and I can indeed say, it is warm and comfy - even when he jumps on top of me!

Lucky Feet

Considering her socks only stay on for about 3 seconds before she rips them off and sticks them in her mouth, I had to get a shot of her green feet from St. Patty's Day.

Obstacle Course

A father and son exercise that helps tire Max out, but mostly exhausts Nick!

Napping

After protesting for an hour, "I'm not tired...I don't want to sleep," I decided to get some fresh air and took Max and Violet for a breezy stroll outside. This is what happened after about 5 minutes.

I guess he WAS tired.

Siblings

When I saw Violet rolling around with a book in her hand, I instantly thought back to when I took a very similar picture of Max when he was about Violet's age.

They have the same head shape, but that's about it.

Snow...Again

We're hoping this is the last snowman we will be building this winter season. Although I hear a snow shower or two is in the forecast - ugh!

He tried to make a snow angel, but the snow was too hard.

A hot chocolate treat.

Putting the Band Back Together

One-handed

Working on his solo.

Working on her solo.

Fat Tuesday

After a dinner of spicy mac and cheese, we all enjoyed a delicious packzi to celebrate Fat Tuesday. Even Violet wanted a taste!

A Happy 7 Months

It's amazing to think that Violet is now closer to her first birthday then she is from her actual birth. Happy birthday, baby girl!

Me George, You Violet

Violet has her first boyfriend! She and Curious George hit it off right away. After about 10 minutes of rolling around together, I had to separate them.

 Love at first sight.
