Max's Birthday Party

We originally planned on having Max's birthday party at our community pool. However, mother nature didn't like that idea, so about an hour before the party started, we moved it and his 10 friends to our house. With little preparation, Max had a fun-filled day with his buddies and family celebrating his 6th birthday.

If I was being interviewed about our sweet Violet, I would say how loving, kind and gentle she is with everyone. She adores mothering Teddy and loves to jump around with big brother. She's quick on her feet in sports and loves to dance and sing along to any song. She's a girly girl who loves makeup, hair, nails and prancing around in all sorts of get-ups. While she's still shy around new people, she doesn't hesitate to make new friends or learn new things. At the end of the day, before she falls asleep (with all the lights on I might add), she gives sweet goodnight kisses to us all as well as the 40 dolls and stuffed animals in her bed. We are so blessed and thankful for our girl and wish her much happiness in the next year ahead.

At Violet's latest doctor appt, she was 41 1/4" (75%) tall and weighed 37.6 lbs (75%). Growing beautifully and happily.

Violet's 4th Birthday Weekend

The girl loves makeup, so she was thrilled to get this small makeup kit. We've all had a few makeovers already (including Grampy)!

Violet had her Frozen party at our house and invited just about everyone she knows! With 16 kids and almost equal number of adults, our house was packed. It was a crazy couple of hours, but so worth it to see this look on the birthday girl's face.

To top the night off, we had sushi (Violet's pick) for dinner and TCBY for dessert.

The next day, we all slept in and ended our weekend playing at a local park by the lake before we had to drop Nani and Grampy back at the airport.

Summertime Scenes

As the summer is quickly coming to a close here (Max starts school in two weeks), we are trying to have as much fun as possible and finish off our summer to-do list at the same time. Here are some scenes from the past couple of weeks.

Our own little driving range in the common area in front of our house.

Little girl wanted so desperately to be tucked in but passed out before I had the chance to get to her. Such is the life of being one of multiple kids!

We took a day trip to the Discovery Kids Museum with some friends. Kids had a ball exploring all the scenes.

One sunny morning day, we were heading out to meet some friends at a park for a playdate when I put the car in reverse and noticed a large black object in the rear video moving across the driveway! So rather than running it over and having snake guts splayed across our yard, we waited patiently until this slimy thing slithered across and into the bushes! Ughllll

Brothers having fun at the park.
