Quite the Collection

After school, Max spent all afternoon sorting his massive baseball/football/basketball card collection. He even scolded me a few times for putting the wrong cards in the wrong piles. He frighteningly has the mental capacity already to remember the smallest details with regards to sports and players - something both his dad and Grampy possess as well!

Over the Past Month

It's been a looong time since I've posted any new pictures here, so I'll do a quick recap of what we've been up to over the past month.

Easter weekend, we drove to Detroit to celebrate the wedding of Nick's first cousin, Catherine. We had lots of fun swimming in the hotel pool (Teddy's first swim). Even though we found out after getting back home that all three kids had ear infections, we still managed to enjoy our time with family.

Teddy turned 9 months old at the end of March. He weighed in at 19 lbs, 8 oz and 29 1/2" tall (the height of an average 14 month old according to the doctor!) At nine months, Teddy is very quick in his crawl, pulling himself up on furniture, boxes, stairs (basically anything that would give me a heart attack)! But, overall, he's still our happy, laid-back baby boy who loves watching his brother and sister run mad. Oh, and most importantly, he's sleeping!!!!!!!!!!!

Last weekend, we took a short trip to the Milwaukee County Zoo. Despite the cooler, wet weather, the kids really enjoyed seeing the wildlife, that is until a couple grizzly bears gave Max the evil eye!

While we were watching the two bears play together, some old lady decided it would be fun to throw candy at them. That's when they started giving us onlookers a nasty look, "like if I could jump over that fence, I'd be more than happy to make you my afternoon snack."

Tiny Dancer

Every Saturday morning, Violet has been taking a dance class. It's taken a little while for her to warm up to her teacher, but I think she's close to finally letting me leave the room!

Working through the recital dance with their props.

Practicing her curtsy.

Bowling

Max had a bowling field trip this past week that I was lucky enough to help chaperone for a couple hours. I was able to get a few pictures of Max and his buddies just being boys.

The gangster squad.

Max and his bowling teammate goofing off while waiting for their turns.

The boys even "allowed" a girl in the picture.

Enough Already

Even though the kids love playing, building, messing around in our never ending mounds of snow, I'm just about done with it. Yesterday, we got another inch or two added on.

Trouble

I'm often finding Teddy upright hanging onto something causing trouble of some sort (such as knocking over candles, books, clocks, etc.)

And sometimes he can't get himself back down and freaks out. Cute to me, scary to him.

But all he wants to do is play along and be in the middle of the action.

Soon enough little man, soon enough.

Auto Show

We took our annual trip to the Milwaukee auto show to check out the latest and greatest vehicles offered for a family of five!

He was so happy to be out of the carseat.

But then gets the usual kiss attack from sister.

The stud muffin checking himself out.

This could fit us all comfortably, right?

Realistically, this is more likely our next vehicle!
